Fred McDonald III
Chairman of the Board
Fred McDonald III founded Great Western in 1981. He received his Bachelor Degree from California State College at Los Angeles and his Juris Doctor degree in Law from Baylor University. Mr. McDonald has enjoyed a very successful career owning and operating a variety of companies in the following industries; oil and gas, commercial real estate, financial services and insurance. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy.
Fred McDonald IV
Chief Executive Officer
Fred McDonald IV has been with the company since December 1999. He received his Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Prior to his current role, he was instrumental in the formation and profitable sale of multiple private equity ventures in the areas of oil and gas, commercial real estate, banking and financial services.
Paul Champagne
Chief Operations Officer
Paul Champagne is responsible for secondary marketing, compliance, financial reporting, investor relations and fulfillment. His industry experience includes serving as a Secondary Marketing Executive at two of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders.
Dawn Sherbeyn
Director, Corporate Development
Dawn Sherbeyn is responsible for business and sales support, systems integration, onboarding, and marketing. She leads cross-functional teams with the goal of integrating high impact selling skills and technology throughout the sales process. Dawn’s previous industry experience also includes the development and facilitation of sales seminars for managers and originators at two of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders.
Doug Wilken
Director, National Distributed Sales
Doug Wilken is responsible for the development and management of national retail offices. His previous experience includes President of a mortgage company and regional management positions at two of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders. Doug has also developed and delivered sales seminars, while serving as coach and mentor for managers and originators across the nation.
JC Pritchard
Senior Vice President of Secondary Marketing
JC Pritchard is responsible for product development, pricing and post-closing management. His previous experience includes managing revenue management functions at two of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders and management of secondary marketing for a bank-owned mortgage company.
Brian McKay
Divisional Sales Manager
Brian McKay is responsible for the development and management of distributed retail offices across the Western United States. His previous experience includes regional management positions at two of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders.
Melissa Harral
Director of Human Resources
Melissa Harral is responsible for the administration of all Human Resource programs across the nation. She has been employed by Great Western, and its founder Fred McDonald III, since 1984.
Jenny Bishop
Vice President of Finance
Jenny Bishop is responsible for accounting and financial reporting functions. Jenny’s previous experience includes managing the accounting function at several mortgage companies in the Dallas area.
