Ready. Set. Close
Closing is typically held in an office setting. This is the exciting moment when title to the property is transferred from the seller to you the buyer. You receive the keys to your new home and the seller receives payment.
Your closing agent will provide you with some time options from which you can choose to close. Realize you will have a number of documents to sign – forms like deeds, loan papers, authorizations, and disclosures, to name a few, so schedule ample time to allow yourself to walk through the documents as fully and thoroughly as you desire. All of these documents are ready and waiting for your signature at the closing table. Once the documents are signed and filed with the local property record office, you are officially recognized as the owner of your new home.
